Bonrix Embedded Innovations, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, has recently launched an enhanced version of its Dynamic QR Code Display solution, the Bonrix DQR-222, now with Bluetooth keyboard / BLE keypad support. This new firmware enhancement was developed based on a specific client requirement for manual amount entry for every new sale transaction, making the device even more practical for retail environments.

The Bonrix DQR-222 already supports USB connectivity with desktop systems and billing software, which makes it ideal for stores using computerized billing. However, many retail counters still operate without billing software and need a fast, reliable, and always-available method to enter the payment amount manually for BHIM UPI dynamic QR code collection. While an Android app can also be used for entering amounts, in many real-life retail situations the smartphone is not always available at the counter, or it may be occupied during calls and other tasks.

To solve this problem, Bonrix developed a new firmware version that allows the Bonrix DQR-222 to connect automatically at startup with a Bluetooth keypad or Bluetooth keyboard, offering a simple and highly convenient way for shop operators to enter the payment amount continuously throughout the day. For this implementation, a low-cost and highly competitive wireless keyboard option from ZEBRONICS has been used, making the overall solution affordable and practical for everyday commercial use.

This setup enables the retailer to quickly enter the transaction amount, which is then displayed on the Dynamic QR Code Display for instant BHIM UPI payment collection. This makes the solution especially useful for shops, counters, and businesses that want a dedicated payment display device without depending on a PC or mobile phone for each transaction.
